There's No Place Like Home

Last night, I dreamt about going home.

Today, I'm very homesick.

Maybe it's because Chinese New Year is around the corner and I don't get to celebrate it at home again this year. Or maybe it's because exam is nearing and I'm stressed.

Whatever the reason is, I miss Malaysia very much today. (On Australia Day, how ironic!)

Even after all these years away from home, and as much as I love Melbourne and hate about a million things that we can bitch about Malaysia, I still get teary whenever the plane lands in KLIA at dawn and I hear these words:

"Thank you for flying with Malaysia Airlines. To all visitors, welcome to Malaysia. To all returning Malaysians, WELCOME HOME."

There's no place like home.

Home
Michael Buble

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two “I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not Come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home
And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be allright
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

how many years will u be spending cny in melbourne?

if u are spending 3-4 years, shouldn't be too bad, it would be over in a blink of an eye ... (my sister spent 4-5 yrs in melbourne too)

Jacky: You're not home as well?

Daddy Nick: Been here here for 7 years, but I always go home for Chinese New Year, except last year. And yeah, this year too. :(

Daddy Nick: This is my registration exam. I haven't made up my mind whether or not to go home after this. Tough decision. :(
