Dermalogica Skincare Haul

I've vowed to not hoard up more unnecessary skincare products or be talked into buying things I don't need by sales people.

Let's face it, I've never continuously used any skincare product for more than a week. That's how lazy and "persistent" I am.

This is a girl who's been summarising the 3 step cleansing-toning-moisurising routine into a single rinsing-with-water-and-off-she-goes step in the morning, and going to sleep with her makeup on at night.

(Psst, wanna know a secret? It's easy to pull that off before the age of 21, but as one steps into late twenties, not so easy!)

The latter, because, well, I have difficulties saying no to people. Needless to say, I'm an easy prey for sales people and they know it! They jump on me like sharks in a feeding frenzy.

Having said that, I must defend my latest purchase from Dermalogica.

First of all, yours truly finally realised that she's not getting any younger and her skin is now paying for her irresponsible behaviours for the past 20 odd years.

Secondly, I've left all my skincare products and cosmetics (except a few pieces of necessities) in Melbourne.

So now, a new beauty wadrobe is in order.

Starting with Dermal Clay Cleanser, Daily Microfoliant, Gentle Cream Exfoliant, and Skin Hydrating Masque by Dermalogica.

More to follow.

Suggestions are more than welcome. :)

Haha.. I'm a guilty user of Dermalogica too. And u know what's the worst part? I buy them and not open them and i just found out that some of them has expired!!!

Now I dunno if I can still use them!

God I'm terrible!!!

I'm using the ultracalming cleanser, multi active toner, em.. active moist, the daily micro thingy and the mask thingy. Forgot the name.

Unfortunately when i went to US, I only use it less than once a month!!! Sigh...

Thanks for dropping by! =) Love ur blog!

Prettybeautiful: I've actually never tried their body products before. Are they any good? And how come you got all the freebies? *Pouts* I think I paid about RM800 for the 4 products and my facial.

-Princess Shin-: Haha. You're just like me when I was your age, young lady. Now I'm not in the position to lecture (who am I kidding?!), but it never harms to start looking after your skin earlier. But of course, easier said than done huh? :P

Cbenc12: It's never too late to start. Come, let's do it together! :D

I heard many people talking about Dermalogica when it comes to facial cleansing and treatment. I heard that the products are very expensive. I have never tried Dermalogica and not sure if i should :P. How is the effect?

I tried dermalogical twice. I paid around RM180 per session. Later I felt that I was paying too much and decided stop visiting them.

Emotionalistic: I'm a regular at Leonard Drake for facials and I'm quite happy with the service (minus the hard-selling part). Been using Dermalogica (on and off) for years, they're excellent IMO and very gentle on skin. I have friends who use Dermalogica religiously and swear by it. The price is really not that much higher than most department store skincare brands, so no harm giving it a try. :)

I'm Choonie: I thought that's a pretty standard price to pay for a good facial in Msia?

Right. I'm not sure how a guy would have to respond to such a post but I shall bite my fingers to ensure that no flying keyboards come my way ;)

Cheers!!! :D

I only use facial cleanser and don't touch the rest. I think men don't use skin care products but I can see the trend is changing.

I used Dermalogica products sometime ago and find that their products takes a long time to see the effect. If you have sensitive skin i guess it's a good product to use cause it is very mild.

Haha.. you sound like my friend when she calls me "young lady!" She's not even much older than me! =.= Hehe.. But I know wat u mean. I really have to start using stuff soon. =(

Hyelbaine: Lol. Girls will be girls and boys will be boys. In order to coexist, I think we just have to come to terms with that. :D

Doreen: I'm bad at reviewing products. I never know what is good and what is bad. But for you, darling, I'll try to keep using them for longer than a week and hopefully, I'll see a difference as the fruit of persistence. Haha.

Prettybeautiful: I'm too lazy to use body scrubs. *Blushes* In shower, I wash them off after 10 seconds. Sometimes I think I might as well be a man. :P

Foongpc: My metrosexual male friends care more about skin and appearance than I do. And I've seen seen straight men getting facials, manicures and pedicures. So yes, the trend is definitely changing.

Fallen Angel: I have yet to find any HG products that make a difference overnight, so I've been coming back to Dermalogica time and again because it's a rather safe choice compared to other too-commercialised skincare brands.

-Princess Shin-: Yes, let's start together so we can keep each other motivated! :D
