An Uneventful Weekend

Instead of going to Laundry the bar, Bee and I spent Friday night taking our laundry to the local cleaners.

Oh yes, the joy of domesticated life. -_-

(Not that I'm complaining though, sweetie. :P)

Dinner was at a restaurant nearby. Their spaghetti carbonara and spring chicken were so good that I overate and simply couldn't order dessert anymore.

We then swung by Bee's parents' place for a brief visit before heading home and calling it a night.

Nothing is planned for the weekend, so I'm guessing we're having a quiet one.

I was loading some photos into my laptop and I saw the pictures we took at Kura Japanese Restaurant, where Bee and I had our Valentine's dinner this year. I remember someone asking me about the restaurant a while ago, so I thought I'd post up a link and some of the pictures.

While we're on this topic, does anyone else find snapping pictures of your food in the public a little embarrassing?

Maybe it's just the old-fashioned uptight bitch in me, but I could never do it without the privacy of our own room. And even then, I'd hide my camera whenever our waitress walks in. Haha.

Oh, and I found a picture of the Zara dress I wore too.

Now if you'd excuse me, I need to go distract my husband from his PSP.

Have a good one, people! ^_^

Ya, I find it embarassing too taking the pic in the public. I think it's the mental thing. Coz' I don't feel that way when I'm travelling abroad. That pic is you? You have a very long hair!

I try to not take photos when there are A LOT of people around, it IS embarrassing! I give kudos to bloggers to take photos of EVERYTHING. Hahaha, I also find it embarrassing taking photos in front of stores, in a shop, anywhere there's too much public attention, hahaha. :P

The food looks so nice!!

You are so slim and fair, so you look very nice in the dress. I'm envy of your long wavy hair, you should show us more photos in the future!!

Hey girls, I re-posted your comments because I had to re-post this entry since it wasn't showing up properly for some readers. Sorry! :)

Haha no wonder I couldn't access your comments page earlier. I guess you must have changed the post link or something. Anyway, I understand what you mean by taking food pictures in public! I only take it when I'm with close friends who know that I blog. Otherwise, I find it embarrassing too!

Doreen: Me too, except that I'm worse. I find it embarrassing even when I'm traveling in foreign countries and entitled to act all touristy. Haha. That's why I always have so few pictures from my trips. Tsk tsk tsk. Gotta psyche myself up to take more photos next time. :)

Fuzkittie: I know, right? I also find it really hard to pose for the camera when others are looking. My smile froze and I just couldn't wait to get it over and done with. Haha.

The food was great! I love Japanese food, especially sashimi. Yum! ^_^

Lila: Aww hun, you're always too sweet and generous with your compliments. The dress was rather flattering, it did a good job in hiding those extra pounds I've packed on in the past few months. Haha.

Xin: You too? I would've never guessed since you own a food blog. Thanks for making me feel better. Haha. I was starting to think that I'm the only one who feels this way since I always see others snapping away happily. :)

Josephine: I've actually had that dress for more than 2 years now, but never wore it out. I can't remember how much it is anymore, but I don't think it was too expensive. :)

Emotionalistic: Haha. I didn't realise that my hair is THAT long until you girls pointed it out. I normally put my hair up, and it's heavily layered, maybe that's why I didn't notice how long it has gotten. :P

Sab: The picture of the dress is especially for you, darl, since you wanted to see how it looks like. ^_^

I'm actually starting to think that maybe my hair is too long? Judging from the strong reactions I got from you girls. I might go for a trim soon. :)

Iamthewitch: Ooppss, sorry! You must have tried to access the comment link just when I re-posted the entry. :)

And yeah, I guess it does make it better if you're with a big group of friends since that kinda makes us feel "shielded" from others' judgemental stares. Haha.

just did rebonding to my hair 2 days ago, before i came here. long hair is hard to maintain huh :)

Olive Poppy said...

Anonymous: Thanks. Do come by more often. :)

Sab: No worries, darl. I hope it helps. *Winks*

Aika: Thanks! :)

Sdovelly: I actually find long hair MUCH easier to maintain compared to short hair that needs frequent trimming to keep the hairstyle in shape. When I'm lazy, I can go for months without a trim. :P
