Are more than what I can handle.
I've never liked birthdays after the age of 21. It's just a reminder of you getting another year OLDER.
Sorry for being a vain pot on this one, but I really don't see anything worth celebrating about that. :/
I'm not a big fan of birthday parties too. It's such a cliche. Yeap, I can be a real party pooper if I want to huh?
So I told all my friends in Melbourne that I didn't want any celebration this year, avoided phone calls to wish me happy birthday, and intended to skip under everyone's radar on this supposed-special day.
I even told my Bee that I don't want him to send me cakes or flowers this year.
But of course, being the sweet boyfriend that he is, he had a yummylicious classic black forest cake from
Brunetti delivered to my door anyway.
I took a picture of it with my phone, then the technology-challenged me lost the picture when I tried to transfer it to my computer. Genius is me. *Rolls eyes*
But the cake did look exactly like the picture on Brunetti's website. The chocolate flakes on it almost look like a bunch of flowers blossoming.
Maybe that's what Bee tries to achieve, a cake-and-flower combo. Haha.
Mine came with a white chocolate plaque that says "Happy birthday, my perfect princess!". Aww, those words were even sweeter than the taste of chocolates itself.
Thanks, sweetie. Now let's work on that birthday present that I have yet to receive huh? Haha!
On Sunday night, a small group of friends and I had a modest dinner at my place.
I had 1 cake, 2 candles and I made 3 wishes, which I hope with all my heart for them to come true.
And that's how I turned 27.
*Sighs*
