Wiser Already

My wisdom tooth's been acting up.

Yes, I'm talking about you. The one on the lower left!

Now I can't even chew on the left. x_x

I have no idea whether the pain originated from a normal growing tooth cutting through the gum, or an infection. I sure hope it's the former.

Coincidentally, Bee's wisdom teeth were just giving him problems a couple of weeks ago.

So we're not married yet, but wiser already?

Edit: Okay, now my right side is hurting too. Wtf?!

Back in KL

Bee and I got back to KL this morning.

Is it wrong that I'm homesick already?

Jimmy Choo Damon Slingbacks - Part Deux

Read Part 1.

You're not gonna believe this!

These beauties are currently on sale at 50% off on Jimmy Choo's website.

Now it only costs AU$480 a pop, as opposed to the original price of US$960.

What a bargain!

But (there's always a 'but'), the sapphire pair that I so wanted, is only available in size 41.5. I'll look like a little girl trying on mummy's shoes in them.

The black, however, is available in smaller sizes, like size 36, 38.5, and my size 35.5!

Personally, I think the black looks a lil dull and lacks the X factor that leaves you no choice but to reach for your plastic.

The sapphire, however, hits all the right buttons. Well, mine at least.

But it's Jimmy Choo and it's 50% off! Maybe I should just grab the black pair anyway.

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

Jimmy Choo Damon Slingbacks

The Sapphire Crêpe de Chine peep-toe slingbacks.

They're currently on sale on net-a-porter.

At 30% off, it's down to US$672. The original price was a whooping US$960!

Love love love the colour!

These come with 3.9" heels, diamanté embellishment on the front and ruching across arch.

Sold out in all sizes, except size 37. Which is the smallest size net-a-porter carries anyway.

With some luck and the help of insoles, they might just fit.

(Yes I know, there's no need to remind me that I wear size 35.5.)

(Or that I'm not working at the moment.)

Maybe I should put a sign around my neck:

"Will work for shoes!"

The Sweetest Thing

The first night after Bee arrived in Melbourne, he took me into his arms and asked if I was willing to go home with him.

Then he apologised for the occasional disagreements we had. Reason being that he shouldn't have argued with me when I was working in foreign land all by myself.

After seeing the path I used to take to go to work everyday, he suddenly felt really guilty for putting me through those arguments. No matter how unreasonable I was, he felt that he should have been more patient and tolerant because it was hard enough for a girl to be all alone in a different city.

That's when he said, "Come home and I'll look after you, baby. If you really can't settle well in Malaysia and want to come back to Melbourne, we should relocate together. You can't be on your own anymore."

A few nights before we were due to return to KL, he saw right through me and knew how strongly I was emotionally attached to Melbourne.

He looked into my eyes and said, "Let's work towards buying you a place in Melbourne huh, princess? This way, you can always feel that you're still connected to this city and you can come back to stay in your own house whenever you want."

Of course the promise can't be realised anytime soon, but those words warmed my heart immeasurably on that cold winter night.

"Let me take care of you."

That's the sweetest thing a guy could say.

Home Again

Just got back to Swan City last night.

It always feels great to wake up in your own bed and find that your favourite food is already on the table.

And the best part is, everything is done for you without you even asking for it.

No matter how old we are, I guess we're always entitled to feel like a little spoilt princess at home.

A New Toy

After weeks of hogging Bee's computer, I finally got myself a new lappie.

I've actually always preferred desktop. Well, after unpleasant experiences with 3 consecutive laptops dying on me, it's only natural, yes?

But, for a change, it's pretty cool to be able to surf and blog on the bed while eating my favourite chocolate chip and pecan cookies.

I'm still hogging Bee's computer for now though. He has to install the bits and pieces into the laptop before I can use it. One of the many perks of having a geeky boyfriend huh? :D

I'm leaving for Swan City tomorrow, but I don't think I'll be taking along my new toy with me.

I just hate hand luggages. Don't you?

Bee can bring it for me when he comes over to visit. One of the many many perks of having an obliging boyfriend. Haha.

Well, I guess it's time to hog my brother's computer!

*Evil laughs*

Brian Atwood Mallory Peep-Toe Sandals

These silver peep-toe leather sandals are currently on sale on net-a-porter.

Was US$695, now US$417. That's 40% off!

The heels are approximately 8cms high, with cut-away sides, a seam at the back and a crystal brooch at the front.

I'm not a particular fan of Brian Atwood, but these reminded me of the silver Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby pumps.

Since the Manolo's have to be custom-ordered, maybe this pair of look-alike can quench my thirst for now.

Oops, I just realised that they're sold out in all sizes, except 39.5 and 40.

And I'm normally a 35.5.

The search continues. *Sighs*

Mulberry Bayswater in Oak

Another bag that will never go out of style.

Simple. Sophisticated. Classic.

It makes a great everyday bag. The sturdy design can easily hold A4 folders, and the straps are adjustable to allow an increase or decrease of capacity.

However, it is a rather heavy bag. So it might pose as a problem since I lug around lots of stuff as it is.

I'm a HUGE fan of oversized bags, but over the years, they've also given me a serious back problem. The thing we do in the name of vanity (and love for beautiful bags) huh?

Many think that Oak is boring and opt for more exciting colours, but I absolutely adore this earthy warm colour. I've been told that the supple Oak Darwin leather only gets better as it ages, and I'm a sucker for buttery soft worn-leather.

Personally, I much prefer the aged-bass fittings which carry a sense of vintage chic, instead of the new silver hardware as per their upcoming spring line (available on net-a-porter).

If you asked me, the gorgeous tan leather and aged-brass hardware are a perfect marriage.

Understated elegance is timeless.

This will be the "IT" bag for the season, and many more years to come.
