Curls
I permed my hair. Now I have big curls with a hazelnut base colour and blonde highlights.
I'm quite happy with how it turned out, but I'm not at the same time. Does it make sense?
I guess I have mixed emotions about it. Or maybe I'm just not quite used to it since I've always had straight hair.
For those who're interested, it costs RM650, for a magic perm (whatever that means), colour and highlights.
I think it's fairly reasonable; Bee thinks it's just too easy to grab money out of girls' pockets. Or the boyfriends', for that matter. Haha!
Service-wise, I'm very happy with it. The staffs were helpful and attentive, and my stylist seems to know his stuff well. So I'm going back to the saloon again tomorrow to get a touch up and blow dry for this dinner we're attending.
I do like my new curls........I think? *Looks at reflection in the mirror*

5 left a petal:
I'm sure you look great. :D
wah *choke* RM650?! did u do the perming & coloring all at the same time? I wanted to, but my hairdresser said do only the perm first, color later cos the coloring and perm chemicals don't mix = perm wont last long.
Jemima: Haha, that's convincing. :P
Midnite Lily: That's what I thought too, but when I asked, the stylist told me that it depends on the chemicals. Certain types of perm will allow you to do colour right after, some will have to wait till a week later. Make sure you check with your hairdresser the different options, always ask for chemicals which are less damaging to your hair (although it prolly means a bigger bill too). :)
*jaw drops* wow Rm650 is a pretty hefty sum for a perm and colour! That said, my hairdresser told me before that if i wanted my hair coloured I had to let him know BEFORE the perm so they could take preventive measures. Not quite sure what that meant. That said, curls didn't suit me after a while but if that pic you posted is anything to go by, I think you'd be adorable :)
Paris Beaverbanks: Now I feel bad about how much I paid. I thought it was cheap, but apparently it's not according to everyone. :(
Oh btw, cool nickname. For a while there, I didn't know who you were. :)
(And no, I look nothing like the picture. Haha.)
